Juvederm Dermal Fillers
Las Vegas & Henderson NV
Juvederm is a type of hyaluronic acid fillers. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar found in our bodies to restore lost volume you have lost through aging. There are several types of Juvederm.
They all are designed for restoring volume lost to facial features due to aging. Each product in the Juvederm line features different bonding and concentrations of hyaluronic acid. Dermal filler injections are each tailored to target specific areas of the face (like deeper lines and marionette lines).
Juvederm is an injectable, clear, smooth gel and will dissipate over time. Juvederm also usually contains Lidocaine (local anesthetic) for patient comfort.
Dermal fillers provide many cosmetic benefits of a surgical facelift at a significantly reduced cost and without requiring anesthesia, incisions, or post-treatment downtime.
These non-invasive treatments allow for convenient scheduling options and the almost immediate resumption of one's daily activities yet still provide a dramatic rejuvenation of the skin's condition and appearance.
Dermal fillers also offer the advantage of immediate results, allowing patients to leave our office after their 20-30 minute treatment looking revitalized and refreshed.
Marielaina Perrone DDS, located in Las Vegas, NV, is pleased to offer a variety of injectable dermal filler options and will provide her expert advice and guidance to help you select the optimal dermal filler (or combination of fillers) that will best restore and enhance your unique facial features and safely fulfill your esthetic goals.
What To Expect
Las Vegas NV
Juvederm is a non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment performed right in our office. Juvederm is an injectable treatment that can reduce the appearance of unwanted lines and wrinkles.
It can achieve this by restoring lost volume to the skin and lips. Juvederm (also called wrinkle fillers) can be used as “volumizers,” plumping and lifting cheeks, chins, jawlines, and temples and filling out thin lips.
The injection is similar to Botox cosmetic, but Juvederm contains a local anesthetic to reduce pain and discomfort. As a dentist, we can numb your mouth area to reduce pain and discomfort further.
Juvederm provides results for up to a year. Side effects are rare but can include redness, swelling, and bruising at the injection site. Results from Juvederm can be seen almost immediately.
WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT FROM JUVÉDERM?
JUVÉDERM is administered via a fine needle directly into the skin. No sedation is needed, although a numbing cream is typically applied to help with any discomfort. Once injected, results are noticed immediately.
Other than temporary redness, the treatment has no aftereffect that will prevent patients from returning to normal. Dr. Perrone recommendeds that you avoid strenuous exercise for about 24 hours. Following JUVÉDERM injections, the face will look refreshed, softer, and smoother.
Are The Cosmetic Results Permanent?
No, juvederm is a temporary treatment. Once the cosmetic effects wear off, you will need another filler treatment to achieve similar results again.
Can Juvederm Turn Back The Clock?
Juvederm is an FDA approved non surgical, minimally invasive dermal filler that is created with a synthetic hyaluronic acid (also called HA). Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is natural to our bodies, and it helps keep your skin healthy in Las Vegas, NV:
-Maintaining moisture by hydrating our skin
-Softening our skin
-Volumizing our skin
IS JUVEDERM PAINFUL?
This cosmetic procedure is virtually pain-free, though each patient's pain tolerance may be different. Juvederm is administered with a fine injection needle, and a topical numbing cream is applied to help with any discomfort. Following treatment, you may feel a tingling sensation, and there could be some swelling and bruising. These aftereffects, if they occur, are temporary and typically subside within a few hours.
ARE THERE ANY ANTI-AGING ALTERNATIVES TO JUVÉDERM?
Dermal fillers are safe and effective for successfully reducing signs of aging with less risk than cosmetic surgery. A wrinkle relaxer, such as BOTOX, can be used in combination with Juvederm for even better cosmetic results. The treatment approach will be based on the patient's cosmetic condition and aesthetic goals.
WILL JUVÉDERM MAKE ME LOOK YOUNGER?
It is essential to set realistic cosmetic expectations when undergoing any cosmetic enhancement. Juvederm will help decrease fine wrinkles and creases, and the skin will appear smoother and softer.
Juvederm Vs Botox
Botox Vs Juvederm is not the question as both can work side by side. Botox can make wrinkles disappear around the eyes, forehead, lengthening upper lip to remove gummy smile, and vertical lines around lips.
Juvederm removes wrinkles differently by adding volume (dermal filler) to fill the lines from the nose to the lip, the lower face, outline the lips, and fill the lips. There is no reason for a choice between botox vs juvederm as they do separate things.
Juvederm is perfect for wrinkles present when your face is resting, whereas Botox is perfect for wrinkles that appear upon movement.
Your dentist will be able to go into greater detail on the proper treatment for you based on your cosmetic appearance and your desires for treatment.
